Loop
The loop repeats the animation until the end of the ruler. You choose between four behaviours.
1 Cycle
Repeats the animation from the start, always the same.
2 Ping-pong
Repeats the animation going and coming back.
3 Offset
Each repetition starts from where the previous one stopped, so the movement keeps accumulating.
4 Continue
Does not repeat. The movement keeps going at the speed it ended in the last keyframe, to the end of the clip.
5 Delay
The pause between the repetitions. Cycle and Ping-pong accept it, and under it you see how many times the animation will happen.
6 Confirm
Writes the repetition to the timeline.
One property or the whole clip
Sniper lets you apply the loop on an isolated property or on the whole clip, through the button at the top of the property list. It is useful, for example, in a shake with animated Position and Rotation: with one click the two properties start repeating until the end of the clip.
When you confirm
When you confirm, the keyframes of the repetition are inserted on the timeline immediately, and they continue until the end of the media of the clip: if you stretch the clip later, the repetition is already there.
The property is marked as "looping" and does not accept editing anymore, until you decide to remove the loop, which is possible by clicking the loop button again while the clip is still active in the selection of the timeline.
